Cookie Policy

Last updated: 2 May 2026 · Version 1.0

Plain-English summary. This site is deliberately light on cookies. We don't use advertising trackers and we don't sell your data. The few cookies we may set are either strictly necessary for the site to work, or only set after you give us permission. You can change your mind at any time.

1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. Cookies are commonly used to remember preferences, keep you signed in, measure how a site is used, or power advertising across the web. Similar technologies — such as local storage, session storage, pixels and tags — work in comparable ways and are covered by this notice too.

In the UK, cookies are governed by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (“PECR”) alongside UK GDPR for any personal data they process.

2. Cookies we use today

cyber.qmc4.com is a marketing site. It does not currently set first-party cookies, run analytics that depend on cookies, or carry advertising trackers. Nothing on this site requires consent at the time of writing.

If that changes — for example, if we add a privacy-respecting analytics tool, an embedded video, or a chat widget — we'll update this notice and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent through a cookie banner before any non-essential cookie is set.

3. Cookie categories we recognise

The categories below are the ones we use to classify any cookie before it goes live. They're here so you know how we think about them, and so future additions are predictable.

  • Strictly necessary.Required for the site to function — for example, to remember a cookie banner choice or to keep a contact form working. These don't require consent under UK law, but we still tell you about them.
  • Analytics & performance. Help us understand which content is useful and where the site can be improved. Only set with your consent. We will choose tools that minimise personal data and aggregate where possible.
  • Functionality. Remember preferences such as theme or language. Only set with your consent.
  • Marketing.Used to measure marketing campaigns or to retarget you across the web. We don't use these today, and we don't plan to use cross-site advertising trackers. If we ever introduce a marketing cookie, it will be off by default and require explicit consent.

4. Third-party services

Some pages on this site load assets from third parties. The service we currently use is:

  • Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) — to serve the Inter and Barlow Condensed typefaces. Google Fonts loads stylesheet and font files; it does not set cookies in the browser when used this way, but Google may log the request IP address as part of normal web-server operation. See Google's privacy policy for details.

If we add other third-party services in future — for example, an embedded video, a calendar booking widget, or a CRM integration — we'll list them here, explain what they do, and link to their own cookie or privacy notices.

5. How to control cookies

You can control cookies in a few ways:

  • Browser settings.Every modern browser lets you block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or clear cookies on a schedule. Look for “Privacy” or “Cookies and site data” in your browser settings.
  • Cookie banner. When we add anything that needs consent, you'll be able to accept, reject, or customise your choices. You'll be able to come back and change your mind at any time.
  • Do Not Track / Global Privacy Control.Where your browser sends a recognised privacy signal, we'll treat it as an objection to non-essential cookies.

6. Relationship to our Privacy Policy

This notice covers cookies and similar technologies specifically. For how we handle personal data more broadly — including the lawful bases we rely on, your rights under UK GDPR, and how to contact us — please see our Privacy Policy.

7. Changes to this notice

We'll update this notice when our cookie use changes, or when the underlying law changes. The version number and date at the top tell you when. If we ever introduce a non-essential cookie that requires consent, we'll prompt you for it through a banner before it's set.
